Pier closed 1977 due to licensing issues; scene moved to the Winter Gardens.
Enjoyed mutual respect with Blackpool Mecca; known for a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere.
Important Notes
The Winter Gardens is a classic ballroom with a huge dancefloor.
